91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "13.5% alcohol on the label, 13.56 by analysis. Mid lemon yellow. The bouquet shows the ripe intensity of the appellation, all a little closed just now but will open with age. Succulent plums and ripe apple with some orange zest, long and balanced. But Gautier was not quite satisfied with how it was showing. A second bottle was more floral and altogether more engaging, with some youthful bitters at the finish. Drink from 2026-2032. Tasted Jun 2025.."
91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Viré-Clessé Quintaine, which I tasted last year from barrel, was bottled in August, a little later than before as they found it difficult locating the right day on the biodynamic calendar. It has a well-defined, very pure bouquet with yellow plum, nectarine and light crushed stone scents. I like the precision here. The palate is well balanced with a slightly creamy texture counterbalanced by a keen line of acidity. Perhaps it just lacks a bit of sustain on the finish, but this has energy and focus. Drink: 2026-2036. (Aug 2025)"
