91-93 points Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate): "Guigal sources its Gigondas from 15 suppliers, some of whom the house has worked with since before the appellation became a cru in 1971. The 2020 Gigondas continues this line, boasting gently floral aromas and plenty of raspberry fruit. It's full-bodied, lush and already easy to drink, but it seems to have plenty of stuffing to get it through at least a decade. Drink: 2023-2030. (2/10/22)"
92 points Wine Spectator: "[$42 list] A winey version, with steeped cherry and kirsch, this is ripe and broad, starting off glossy and then reined in by cashmere-fine tannins that give real textural framework. A modern, stylish, full-bodied red that's very well-executed, with roasted apple wood in the background. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2030. (3/31/24)"
92 points James Suckling: "Here's an excellent introduction to Gigondas with the richness and spice, plus the ample tannins we expect from this appellation. Long, well-structured finish with excellent balance. A cuvee of 70% grenache, 20% syrah and 10% mourvedre that was aged completely in large oak foudre. Drink or hold. (4/26/23)"
