90 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "(55% syrah, 40% grenache and 5% mourvedre) Inky ruby. Intriguing, highly perfumed aromas of red- and blackcurrant, cherry, dried flowers and tobacco, with powerful spice and black olive accents; the syrah is center stage today. Graceful and focused, with sweet dark fruit and floral pastille flavors that coat the palate. Suave and gently sweet wine, with excellent clarity, length and a lingering floral quality. There will not be a 2008 bottling of this wine because Guigal wasn't happy with the quality of fruit in the southern Rhone. There are 3.7 million bottles of this wine to go around. (Jan 2011)"
90 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The best vintage of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2007 E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône, a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, and 10% Mourvèdre, possesses an outstanding bouquet of blackberry and black raspberry fruit, licorice, wild herbs, and a touch of black olive. This is followed by a medium to full bodied, beautifully fruited, wine that has the hallmark purity and focus of the vintage. Showing well now, this awesome value drinks as well as bottle 2 to 3 times the price, and should continue to do so over the next 3-5 years. (3/28/11)"
90 points James Suckling: "Wonderful exotic fruits and citrus in the nose. The palate has a nice backbone of tannins, but the finish could use a bit more fruit. Outstanding none the less. Find the wine. (2/21/11)"
90 points and 'Best Buy,' Wine Enthusiast: "A noteworthy effort made in widely available commercial quantities, Guigal's '07 CdR Blanc offers scents of pineapple and pear, flavors that include hints of white chocolate, a reasonably rich mouthfeel and a long, dry, concentrated finish with just a hint of honey. Alcohol 13.5%. (Apr 2010)"
