94 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "This cuvée is made using the fruit of Romain’s most prized vines, planted on the top of the Brézé hill. In was matured for two years in barrel, including 40% new oak, and it was bottled three weeks before my tasting. This shows a taut style on the nose, the toast coming through from the oak here, masked by firm reductive notes. The palate is toasted and charred, with black tea, currant and minerals, a curious combination, but the structure itself is convincing, coming loaded with a pithy phenolic grip and bright tingling acidity. This is in a quite curious place right now, but all the raw material is here I think. (Mar 2022)"
