98 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Wildly perfumed, this starts with black cherry cordial, hyacinth and underbrush. The palate turns out powerful fruit concentration, but the mouthfeel is one of elegance not burliness. The tannins are plush and the acidity crystalizes the broad array of flavors. The oak adds some spicy tones but—as is the philosophy here—used to enhance what is naturally in the wine rather than add outside influences. Majestic. (Jan 2024)"

98 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The Grivot Richebourg is a superb wine — it is always the top wine in the cellar and carries the concentration and depth to another level. The wine opens with copious red and black fruit aromas coloured with a saline minerality and notes of earth, leather, and savoury game. The texture is focused and rich, with a velvety, dense feel and a gratifyingly long finish. The domaine farms 0.31 hectares up the slope from Hudelot-Noëllat, located in the centre of Richebourg proper. Ideally, one would wait ten years to open, but this should last 50 or more. Drinking Window: 2030-2065. (11/2/23)"

96-98 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A glowing crimson purple. A certain nobility to the nose. A brilliant combination of hedonism and precision, the expressive dense floral notes, waves of perfectly ripe red fruit, and that’s just the bouquet. Suave, sweetly fruited, nuanced, yet never losing site of the grace and the depth. Caresses all parts. Seamless finish with perfect acid and tannin balance. (Nov 2023)"

95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Richebourg Grand Cru comprises six barrels this year, three new and three second fill. It opens slowly in the glass, unveiling intense red berry, black truffle and light loamy scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and balsamic-tinged red fruit, gaining depth towards the finish that fans out as Richebourg should. Tasted from old barrels and as a new/old barrel cuvée assembled by Etienne Grivot. Drink: 2027-2052. (Jan 2024)"

94-97 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Richebourg proper). Much like the VRBM, the cool, airy and strikingly well-layered nose is overtly floral-suffused while displaying additional liqueur-like aromas of essence of red and dark currant, poached plum and exotic tea wisps. There is already superb depth to the wonderfully sleek and solidly dense broad-shouldered flavors that possess a wonderfully beguiling texture before terminating a well-balanced, youthfully austere and stunningly long finish, indeed this offers the best length in the range. It is however very much built to repay extended keeping so be prepared to cellar it accordingly. Brilliant. Drink: 2037+. (Jan 2024)"
