97 points Anne Krebiehl (Falstaff): "Ripe but fresh and aromatic notes of cherry make for an inviting, intriguing nose. The palate brims with layers of fruit that are backed by a fine web of elegant tannin, a sinuous body and vivid freshness. Of all the Vougeots, this is a benchmark. Lovely, lasting, beautiful. (1/25/22)"

97 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Ripe vegetal notes infuse the dark and bright fruit of the Clos de Vougeot, set with crunchy tannins. With balance and persistence, this wine offers a fascinating suavity of texture, and seems weightless, with a freshness that is well regulated. (2023)"

94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Dark black purple in colour, ultra-concentrated in the rich ripe raspberry mode, but not over the top. What an incredible concentration of fruit on the palate! Super-dark raspberry, firm Clos Vougeot tannins but not overdone, just the right acidity. This is certainly a very good wine, and may develop into something even more spectacular. (Nov 2021)"

96 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Chunky black fruits, forest floor and savory spice pop onto the robust, slightly backward palate. Generous in extract, this is nicely held up with lightly sticky tannins and rather punchy acidity. Showing evident power, this just needs time to nurture and mature the ample structure and concentration. These vines are located at the bottom of the Clos near the domaine's gates looking onto the D974 road. 2025-42. (2023)"

94-96 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Grivot has nailed the Clos Vougeot again in 2020. It’s lively and intense, with very generous mid-palate fruit. Impressive, it shows a lovely bouquet of floral notes, including peonies and red roses. What a hedonistic delight. As good as the 2019? Perhaps! Drink from 2035. (11/18/21)"

95 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$600 list] This round version is packed with ripe black cherry, violet, graphite and tobacco flavors. The silky texture and vibrant acidity work in tandem, while refined tannins provide support without getting in the way. There are a few edges to be worked out, yet this is long and concentrated. Best from 2027 through 2048. 90 cases imported. (2023)"

93-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(50+ year old vines located in the lower section of the Clos). A brooding and densely fruited nose grudgingly reveals its array of dark berries, poached plum, warm earth and a soupçon of wood. The supple but mouth coating and velvet-textured larger scaled flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract while delivering excellent persistence on the youthfully austere, powerful and balanced finale. This excellent effort is very firm and should age accordingly; indeed two decades is not out of the question. Drink: 2038+. (Jan 2022)"

94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Flamboyantly fruity and very approachable, the wine has an expressive cherry and rose petal fruit, with a hint of exotic spice. The texture is powerful, yet fresh enough to retain a compelling vivacity. Grivot owns a large parcel of 1.86ha in Quatorze Journaux along the bottom of the Route Nationale. The quality of the wine belies the received wisdom about this location. The grapes are destemmed and gently fermented, with the must lightly pumped over after a few initial punch-downs before ageing. Drinking Window: 2025-2060. (Nov 2021)"
