93+ points Ian D'Agata (Vinous): "Bright ruby. Deep aromas of violets, chocolate, minerals and black cherry. Dense, complex and suave, delivering multilayered flavors of dark plum and chocolate, perked up by a bright violet lift. Knockout Aglianico del Vulture with noteworthy aging potential, though it’s remarkably easy to drink right now. Made with grapes selected from the Ginestra subzone of the Vulture (in my view, one of the better Vulture subzones), this wine was first made in 2011 and then only in the better years. Fermentation temperatures reach 84-86°F (29-30°C) at most; it’s aged roughly three years in a mix of large and small oak barrels. Drink 2019-2030. (Apr 2017)"
92 points James Suckling: "Plenty of fruit and spices with chewy tannins. Full body, rich and juicy. Drink now. (10/22/18)"
