95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Notes of blackcurrants, plums, chocolate, and lead pencil emerge from the ripe, sexy styled 2015 Château Grand Mayne. This full-bodied, opulent, beautifully concentrated 2015 hits the palate with loads of fruit and texture, yet stays balanced, has terrific purity of fruit, and ripe tannin. I was only able to taste this one time, but wow, what a wine. It should be at its best from 2020-2035. Drink: 2020-2035. (11/30/17)"

94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2015 Grand Mayne has a candied bouquet with high-toned red cherry, crème de cassis and mulberry aromas, well defined and generous with flecks of dark chocolate developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and very well judged acidity. I appreciate the focus and freshness in this Saint-Émilion, nicely poised with a persistent, quite mineral finish. A superb wine from Jean-Antoine Nony. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting. Drink: 2021-2040. (Jul 2019)"

93 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "The 2015 Grand Mayne is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with an earthy nose of damp soil and fungi with a core of red and black plums, black berries and dried herbs. The full-bodied mouth is rich and earthy with a firm structure and plenty of freshness, finishing long. Drink: 2020-2042. (Feb 2018)"

93 points Decanter: "A dense but opulent black cherry bouquet, with sturdy oak behind. Rich, suave, full and chocolately, with admirable grip and structure. Good acidity confers vigour, and the finish is tannic and long. Drink: 2020-2035. Alcohol 15%. (Jan 2018)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2015 Grand Mayne is powerful, ample and racy, with notable textural breadth and resonance. Super-riper red cherry, tobacco, mint, orange peel and spice all develop in the glass. Forward and sumptuous, as it was from barrel, Grand Mayne is gorgeous today. Michel Rolland and Louis Mitjaville consult. Drink: 2020-2035. (Feb 2018)"

93 points Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): "Lush, ripe, ripe, opulent and fruity, the wine exudes espresso, plum, vanilla, dark red pit fruits, flowers, herbs and smoke in its perfume. Elegant, silky, plush and fresh, give it 3-4 more years in the cellar and it will be drinking just fabulously. (Apr 2021)"

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$45 list] This huge wine seems to revel in its rich and powerful fruits. It has a serious side as well, coming from dark tannins, black chocolate and wood-aging flavors. If it seems extracted at this stage, that fruit will come to balance the wine as it matures further. Drink from 2024. Alcohol 14%. (Sep 2018)"

92 points James Suckling: "A tight and silky red with berry, chocolate and black-tea character. Full-bodied, tight and integrated. Fresh finish. Drink in 2020. (1/22/18)"
