93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Brouilly Vieilles Vignes has impressive lift on the nose with crushed strawberry, sous-bois and wilted rose petal scents. It builds nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crushed strawberry, orange rind and light minerally notes. Just a touch of reduction on the finish? Tuck this excellent Brouilly away for three or four years - great potential. Drink: 2024-2036. (May 2023)"

92 points James Suckling: "A fragrant Brouilly with a spectrum of red berry aromas ranging from cranberry to strawberry, married to an unusual silkiness for this challenging vintage on the barely medium-bodied palate. A lively and delicate finish with excellent harmony. From biodynamically grown grapes. Bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphur addition. Drink or hold. (3/2/23)"

Importer notes: "This is the sleeper in the range and with some patience this wine gives more than would be expected upon the first 10 minutes of tasting. It is the most mineral-intense wine in the range, expressing deep graphite, blood and iron notes in the palate. Ancient vines endow this wine with tremendous follow-through and sappy weight in the mid and back palate. Dried purple flowers and red rose decorate the nose alongside of scorched earth and sauvage. This wine, like the “Clos de la Grand Coeur” bottling, offers a very savory range of characters and is also given only a small dose of 10 parts per million of SO2 one month before bottling."
