94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 Nuits St. Georges “la Perrière” Blanc from the Gouges family is one of the finest young vintages of this wine that I have ever had the pleasure to taste! The beautiful bouquet soars from the glass in a complex blend of white peach, apple, beeswax, white lilies, a complex base of chalky soil tones, vanillin oak, fresh almond and a lovely topnote of lemon zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and complex, with a superb core of fruit, beautiful mineral transparency and grip, a fine spine of acidity and a very long, seamlessly balanced and very classy finish. This wine was raised in thirty percent new oak this year, but the gorgeous fruit tones have eaten up most of the oak influence! 2025-2050. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Notes of aniseed and cumin in the Nuits Blancs, an energetic wine with good acidity and a broad base: it is original in its build and red structure. (2026)"

92 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (Jan 2025).

91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fine lemon and lime colour. Attractive ripeness on the nose, pears and plums, fruit more juicy than fleshy, tightening up at the back of the palate to an almost austere limestone finish, nonetheless surrounded by notions of riper fruit. It works out to be a very attractively balanced wine which can be approached young. Bottled in July. (Nov 2024)"

90 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières Blanc 1er Cru has a clean and pure bouquet with hints of honeysuckle and light orchard fruit. The palate is well balanced with fine depth, a touch of orange rind and passionfruit with a spicy, stem ginger-tinged finish. Enjoy it over the next five or six years. Drink: 2025-2033. (Jan 2025)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(This is Pinot blanc/Gouges. ‘It’s not easy to work here – it was an old quarry and now it’s an oven! You don’t want to work here on a summer afternoon…’) Not the aromatic impact of the Bourgogne but an extra clarity and lovely energy in this width or aroma. Extra fluidity on the tongue – a wine that melts it’s citrus and minerals over the palate – again clarity is the word I reach for. Extra in all directions… Beautiful wine! (4/22/25)"

Producer notes: "Just like our Bourgogne Blanc, this white wine comes 100% from the Pinot Blanc cépage, called “Pinot Gouges”. This grape, stemmed from the Pinot Noir, was discovered by Henri Gouges, founder of the estate, during an inspection of his vines. The La Perrière cru is produced, as its name implies, in an old stone quarry. We find here very rocky and chalky soils. This unique cru, as a result of its cépage and low production (41 ares), offers intense, complex and unusual wines. This wine is as confidential as it is fascinating."
