94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 Clos des Porrets St. Georges was showing brilliantly at the time of my visit. The wine’s aromatic constellation is pure and complex, offering up scents of sweet cassis, dark berries, peonies, coffee bean, a complex base of soil tones, currant leaf, woodsmoke, pigeon and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and beautifully sappy at the core, with a lovely foundation of soil tones, ripe, buried tannins, impeccable balance, very good acids and a very long, vibrant and complex finish. Great juice. 2038-2085. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This 3.37 ha monopole sits on Premeaux rose limestone, which can be felt throughout the wine. The nose smells of crushed chalk mixed with mulberries, and the palate has a finely dry bite. Talc-like tannins cooperate with crunchy acidity to give a firm frame. Wait at least five to six years for this as there is a lot to unpack. (Jan 2025).

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Le Clos des Porrets is tighter and firmer, solid right through to the chalky flavors of its finish. (2026)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Racked to tank in October, to bottle in December. Deep purple. The bouquet is certainly a rich expression of pinot fruit without being over-ripe. Very full on the palate yet with energy through adequate acidity. Excellent balance and persistence. A fresh classic. (Nov 2024)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Porrets-Saint-Georges 1er Cru was taken from the tank. This is pure and opulent on the nose, but there is a sense of control and delineation here. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe black fruit notes, touches of blueberry and raspberry coulis and just a hint of licorice toward the finish. Give this three or four years in bottle. Drink: 2027-2046. (Jan 2025)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(3.6-hectare monopole and the largest of the domaine. Maybe ‘Porrets’ was a field of pears…(?) Middle of the hill, really well exposed under the quarry – ‘it’s nearly 25% of our production. Lots of vine ages, of course – the youngest are more than 35 years old but the oldest are now about 120 years old.’) A narrow but deep nose – more cushioned in style at the base. The palate is linear, also you could say slightly strict vs the previous wines – with a chiselled structure but without anything scary from the tannins. I could drink it with pleasure today but it will also be great in 25 years too… (4/22/25)"
