95 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Greg Gouges reckons there are 15 different 'sub parcels' within this 4-hectare monopoly holding, with different sold types adding to the overall complexity of the wine. This is a beautifully nuanced Nuits, focused and well structured, with scented, lightly toasty oak, chiselled acidity and undertones of summer berries and orange zest. The tannins are some of the finest for years. 2020-28. (Jan 2017)"
93-95 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos des Porrets Saint Georges has a tightly wound, floral bouquet - hints of violet, strawberry jam, even a light smear of marmalade coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and is complex: a mixture or red and black fruit seamlessly knitted together, leading to a concentrated but structured, classically-styled finish with fine salinity. This comes highly recommended, a pure and crystalline Nuits St Georges from one of its best vineyards. It comes highly recommended. Drink: 2023-2045. (Dec 2016)"
91-95 points Fine Wine Review: "The Clos des Porrets has more structure than the foregoing and is salty and mineral in its dark fruit. It’s a wine very true to its terroir. Gouges has 15 parcels here with vines ranging from 15 to 100 years-old, average age is 50 years. (3/14/17)"
94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "While writing my profile on Domaine Gouges last year, I finally came to realize just how much I love the Clos des Porrets bottling here, and the 2015 is destined to be one of the reference point vintages of this fine cru in the years to come. This and the remainder of the cellar was still in cask and had not yet been racked. The bouquet on the 2015 Clos des Porrets is utterly superb, wafting from the glass in a classy blend of red and black cherries, plums, bitter chocolate, a great, complex base of soil tones and a touch of currant leaf in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a rock solid core of fruit, laser-like focus and a very, very long, fine-grained and vibrant finish. This will be a stunningly elegant and sappy example of Clos des Porrets at its apogee and should prove to be a very, very long-lived wine. 2025-2075. (Nov/Dec 2016)"
93 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(a 3.5 ha monopole with 30+ year old vines). A notably ripe nose of cassis, black cherry, humus and earth possesses fine complexity. There is outstanding volume and mid-palate concentration to the powerful and mouth coating middle weight flavors that exhibit a subtle minerality on the sappy, dusty, energetic and beautifully persistent finish. This is a classic Nuits that is built-to-age and will need it. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2017)"
