92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "There are only four or five owners of vines in this lovely, small premier cru, with the Gouges family owning twenty-five percent of the vineyard. It is located right above Les St. Georges on the slope, so one could not ask for a better location and the wine really should be better known than it is these days. The 2011 from Domaine Gouges is excellent, jumping from the glass in a mélange of red and black cherries, dark soil tones, gamebirds, woodsmoke and a nice touch of espresso in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very elegant out of the blocks, with a fine core of fruit, impressive, nascent complexity and impressive focus and balance on the very long and structured finish. This is going to be a superb wine in eight to ten years. 2020-2060. (Nov/Dec 2012)"

89-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A discreet touch of wood surround the ripe and well-layered mix of red berry fruit scents that are liberally laced with earth and underbrush nuances. There is good ripeness to the suave, even seductive middle weight flavors that possess really lovely depth on the persistent, balanced and harmonious finish. This is really quite good and worth considering. Drink: 2019+. (Jan 2013)"
