At 12 years, this signature single malt is fragrant with a fresh and fruity nose. It has rich, complex, rounded flavours with elegant notes of fresh ear and subtle oak.
*** Recommended, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "The amber color is attractive and impeccably clean. The first nosing passes encounter scents of damp grain, wet cloth, and flax; aeration adds only ethereal notes of candle wax and distant yellow fruit. The palate entry is clean, lean, and mildly caramel-like; by the midpalate stage the taste profile takes on additional flavors like candied almond and walnut paste. Finishes light-bodied and moderately sweet in a dried apple/apricot manner. Good place to start for Scotch beginners."
Quarterly Review of Wines: "White/pale color; light body; hint of sweetness; bit lean in body. (Spring 2008)"
