97 points/'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "This firm wine shows the tannic side of the vintage. Those tannins are dusty, enriched with black-currant fruits and a dense backdrop. The wine is concentrated and elegant, very ageworthy and not likely to be ready before 2025. Alcohol 13.5%. (Feb 2018)"

96 points James Suckling: "Plenty of violets and dark berries on offer here. This has a striking sense of purity as well as an energetic, regal palate. The structure is impressively groomed with effortless depth and length. A standout wine. Try from 2022. (1/22/18)"

96 points Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): "Packed with notes of flowers, sweet, red fruits, tobacco leaf, cherries, and plums, this gorgeous wine is rich, lush, fresh, round, and complex. Yes, it is still a baby. But there is so much going on here, that it is impossible not to finish the bottle with dinner, even at this early stage of development. Drink from 2025-2050. (Jul 2022)"

95 points Jane Anson (Decanter): "Deep, plush fruit which is hard to push through at first - it resists rather than giving way. There are layers of muscular fruit on the palate with some gorgeous touches of tobacco and charcoal. This is one to age - and to double-decant if you're thinking about opening it up in the next decade. 50% new oak. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (Nov 2017)"

95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2015 Giscours has a beautiful, clean, pure bouquet of generous ripe black cherry, raspberry and crushed violet aromas that could only come from Margaux. The medium-bodied palate is quite dense but wonderfully poised, offering sappy red fruit and very fine tannin and delivering impressive detail on the bay leaf and tea leaf finish. Alexandre van Beek oversaw one of the best Giscours in recent years. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting. (Jul 2019)"

95 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "At the time of tasting this is the most recently bottled vintage. There is lightly degraded red cherry fruit on the nose, dried hedgerow fruits and wild plum too, with a little tobacco leaf, and it is still wearing some toffee and caramel barrel spice at the moment. There follows a nicely poised palate, expressive, with a fine substance, elegant and medium-bodied, with quite firm, imposing but tightly-grained tannins. This attractive structural bed carries the fruit sense from the nose, here spiced with cigar box and tobacco, the oak coming through, adding a toasted note to the finish. It shows a good length. Overall this is quite charming, fresh and savoury, with plenty of potential for the cellar. (May 2018)"

95 points (17.5/20)/'Coup de Coeur,' La Revue du Vin de France: "This highly expressive Giscours, with a bright mouthfeel and depth, is a major success for the property. We find the vibrant side of the legends of the vintage. (2018)"

94+ points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Giscours opens with expressive cassis, blackberry and red currants on the nose with touches of cedar chest, roses and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied with a good core of muscular fruit and firm, grainy tannins, it finishes long. Drink: 2019-2039. (Feb 2018)"

94+ points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2015 Giscours is every bit as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. Deep, powerful and virile in style, the 2015 has a lot to say. There is a purity to the aromas and flavors in the 2015 that I don't recall seeing in the past. Ripe and ample, with terrific freshness and nuance, the 2015 is compelling in every way. In 2015, the blend is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, with no Cabernet Franc. Drink: 2022-2040. (Feb 2018)"

94 points Peter Moser (Falstaff): "Deep ruby with purple reflections and discreet rim brightening. Dark berry confit, delicately tobacco, fine herbal savouriness and ripe plum in the background. Juicy, round and balanced, silky tannins, pronounced in fruit finish, elegant and lasting, a multi-faceted food companion with certain ageing potential. (3/14/19)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "Polished and rounded in feel, with a solid core of plum and blackberry compote flavors, lined with light hints of charcoal, tobacco and violet. Nice perfumy tobacco and warm tar notes show on the finish. Very well-integrated, making this approachable now, but there’s no rush. Best from 2020 through 2035. (3/31/18)"
