93 points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "The 2017 Champagne Grand Cru Oger Special Club Extra Brut offers generous aromas of Parmesan, poached apples, leesy fresh bread, and poached lemon. The palate is more robust and broader in structure, yet remains medium-bodied with a fleshy, pithy texture, while staying bright on the palate. The mousse is refined and highlights the saltiness and bitter citrus of the palate, with savory, mouthwatering length and hints of fresh ginger spice. Disgorged in July 2024, with a dosage of 4.5 grams per liter. Best enjoyed from 2025 to 2040. (12/15/25)"
93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "[$155 list] The 2017 Extra Brut Spécial Club Oger Grand Cru is a pleasure to taste today. Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and baked apple tart blossom nicely in the glass. Soft and creamy, with no hard edges and fine balance, the Oger is an absolute delight. Dosage is 4.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 2024. Drink: 2024-2032. (Dec 2024)"
92 points Tom Hewson (Decanter): " Oger's power and heat comes across even in the tricky 2017 vintage of Didier Gimonnet's Special Club range, highlighting individual terroirs of Côte des Blancs Chardonnay. It's a stony, compact and almost forceful wine, full of cooked apricot and warm lemon flavours yet still delivers on a measured, smooth mousse with a lift of citric energy. The vintage might be a tricky one for true finesse and ageworthiness, yet this cuvée still vividly paints a picture of the village. Drinking Window: 2024-2028. (3/2/24)"
