93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bursting with aromas of mint, orange zest, fresh bread, passionflower and quince, the NV Extra-Brut La Loge is medium to full-bodied, pillowy and incisive, with a fleshy and layered core of fruit, racy acids and a long, saline finish. It's produced from 80-year-old Pinot Blanc vines in a south-facing site and derives from a solera spanning the 2011-2018 vintages. Drink: 2023-2040. (8/10/23)"
93 points Yohan Castaing (Decanter): "The Gerbais family are fans of Pinot Blanc, an ancient grape variety. La Loge is a single-parcel cuvée made only with Pinot Blanc from a perpetual reserve (2011 to 2018), disgorged in May 2022 with an Extra-Brut dosage (less than 6g/L). The delicate and fresh bouquet evokes notes of pear, peach, spring flowers and spices. Full-bodied and well-textured, the structure is crystalline, elegant and refined, with a pinpoint mousse. A nice bitter note emerges in the finish. Drinking Window: 2023-2030. (6/23/22)"
91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The La Loge single parcel bottling is entirely made from Pinot Blanc Vrai, with its base year again 2017 and the wine bottled up for secondary fermentation in June of 2018. Like the Champ Viole, the perpetual reserve solera for this vineyard was started in 2011. These vines are fully eighty years of age! It was disgorged in April of 2021 after nearly three years aging sur latte, and was finished with a dosage again of three grams per liter. The bouquet is beautiful on this bottling, delivering scents of white peach, apple, brioche, fruit blossoms, limestone minerality and a nice, discreet touch of vanillin oak. The wine is full-bodied, focused and quite youthful still on the palate, with good depth at the core, frothy mousse, snappy acids and lovely focus and cut on the long, very promising finish. Aromatically, this bottling is already beautifully expressive, but it is still a bit too youthful on the palate for my tastes and really deserves a bit of bottle age to soften up and blossom properly. It will be delicious in due course. 2025-2045. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
91 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The NV Extra Brut La Loge is a pure Pinot Blanc from a perpetual reserve spanning the vintages 2011 to 2019. Both green and red apples are portrayed with aroma and enticing tartness on the nose of this unusual Pinot Blanc. On the palate, a sense of waxy apple skin takes over, supplemented by melon freshness and a translucent lemon brightness on a slender, bright and lemony body with pithy length. Disgorged: April, 2023. Drink: 2024-2030. (Mar 2024)"
