90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From the Clos St Marc and Pasquelles sectors together. Normally 2/3 the first but since pulling some out in 2019 it is half and half. Pale lemon colour. Notably reduced. The fruit intensity is there, and balance but the reduction slightly takes the upper hand for the moment. A bit more flesh at the finish. This may well show better later on assuming the reduction is surmounted. (Nov 2021)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru comes from the top and bottom of the vineyard, some of the vines at the top in the lieu-dit of Petingeret uprooted last year. It has a nicely detailed bouquet with mineral-driven orchard fruit, apple blossom and granitic, almost earthenware aromas. The palate is well balanced, pleasant weight on the entry, fine acidity with a focused but not necessarily long, walnut-tinged finish. Fine. Drink: 2023-2038. (Dec 2021)"
