93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2013 Grands Epenots from the Gaunoux family is really excellent this year. The bouquet is a fine blend of strawberries, cherries, a superb base of minerality, roses, pigeon and lovely fresh herb tones in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, young and soil-driven, with fine mid-palate depth, fine-grained tannins, bright acids and excellent focus and grip on the long and properly chewy finish (this is young Pommard after all). Excellent potential. 2023-2065. (Mar/Apr 2016)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Tasted alongside the 2014 and 2011 renditions—lovely wines that haven't evolved much since I reviewed them last year—the 2013 Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands Epenots is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of red cherries and spices mingled with nuances of forest floor, grilled game bird and dried ceps. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with an animating spine of racy acidity, refined tannins and a long, sapid finish. This is a beautifully complex, acid-driven vintage of Grands Epenots that isn't far away from the beginning of its drinking window. Drink: 2023-2045. (Jul 2020)"
