93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2011 Grands Epenots was really showing well at the time of my visit and was more accessible than I originally anticipated it would be at age five. The bouquet is focused and nicely open, wafting from the glass in a refined blend of cherries, pomegranate, superb minerality, a touch of mustard seed and a fine, complex base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is fullish, pure and tangy, with great backend soil drive, a lovely core of fruit, moderate, well-measured tannins and a long, complex and surprisingly wide open and tasty finish. Intuitively I know this is still a young wine, but I would have no difficulty drinking it tonight! 2016-2040. (Mar/Apr 2016)"
93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2011 Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands Epenots is a very fine wine in a difficult vintage, wafting from the glass with a complex bouquet of orange rind, sweet red fruits and loamy soil. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant and deep, with fine-grained tannins and a sweet core of fruit. By the standards of Gaunoux's Grands Epenots, it's unusually open and accessible. Drink: 2016-2040. (Oct 2018)"
