93-94 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Stepping up in power and intensity, the Corton Renardes 2007 is showing quite some grand cru quality. The nose displays lovely, forward fruit – red and dark berries – brought out by a relatively strong mineral note. On the palate, there is good density, along with lovely acidity and juiciness. It’s balanced, but with no rusticity. Its tannins are very fine, clean and well-constituted, with plenty of stuffing and potential. It’s just starting to reveal its maturing nuances and some fine perfumed notes – give it time. I prefer the Rugiens 2007, but there is fine potential here. Drink From 2024. (1/29/18)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "I really like drinking the 2007 vintage wines right now and the Gaunoux family’s ’07 Renardes is a very strong example of this high quality vintage. The bouquet is starting to show some lovely secondary layers of complexity, offering up scents of cherries, spiced meats, stony soil tones, incipient notes of coffee and sous bois, a touch of iron, bonfires and lovely Corton spice elements in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and blossoming beautifully, with a good core, fine-grained tannins and excellent balance and grip on the complex and focused finish. This is just starting to drink with generosity and still has a long life ahead of it, but it is now offering up a lot of pleasure in the glass. 2017-2050. (Jan/Feb 2023)"

93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The colour is paling and the red has become just lightly orange. The bouquet is pure and gentle. Deeply charming, fully ready, offering a lovely little crunch at the back along with a slight sucrosity. The finish stretches out beautifully. All the elements are in balance. A fine wine by any standards, and outstanding for the vintage. Tasted: May 2021."
