92 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Spätburgunder Bürgstadter is coolish, precise and fine on the fresh and spicy nose, and it's a beautiful representative of the Centgrafenberg terroir. The fruit is intense and red rather than dark and most of all perfectly ripe. Silky, refined and very elegant on the palate, this is a charming, finessed, fresh and stimulating Pinot with an intense and very seductive finish with very fine Pinot aromas, silky tannins and salivating acidity. A fabulous village wine with remarkable finesse, salt and tension. 13% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2021. Drink: 2021-2035. (Dec 2021)"
92 points Falstaff: "A gentle burnt aroma with a hint of struck match, savoury yeast, fine smoke, as well as a hint of cherry and clove. A soft onset to the palate with plenty of body, followed by some spice and firm, supportive acidity. The tannins are powerful and perfectly integrated. Alcohol 13%. (11/15/21)"
