92 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "Here's a fun new submission from Fratelli Alessandria. Packaged with a modern dark purple label, the 2019 Langhe Rosso Luna is a mix of various indigenous grapes from the Langhe in Piedmont. Although the exact blend is not announced, I imagine those grapes to be Nebbiolo, Barbera and Pelaverga or maybe Freisa. There is a spicy quality to the bouquet with dark fruit, toasted aniseed and an unmistakable hint of white pepper. This is a fantastic new discovery and a wine I very happily and heartily recommend. Drink: 2022-2026. (8/11/22)"
Blend of Barbera, Nebbiolo and Freisa. Aromas of red and black cherries, wild strawberry, mixed roses, red plum, light spice. Juicy, supple; refined tannins.
