Foillard's "regular" Morgon bottling has not been reviewed, but without a doubt it hits well above its weight class! This is one of the best bargains in cru Beaujolais.
WHWC Staff Notes: "Limpid ruby, perhaps a shade lighter than the 2020. The nose offers a beguiling mix of bright red fruits and violet-tinged florals. Its vivid, pure Gamay fruit is truly refreshing, but what really stands out its mouthfeel: though enlivened by perfect acidity, there's an inviting suppleness allied to an almost satiny texture. To be honest, I've tasted a few 2021 Beaujolais that were not so much "elegant" as they were anemic and underripe; this assuredly is not one of those! This should be a case buy for any wine-loving household." -David Russell, 9/12/23
