Foillard's "regular" Morgon bottling has not been reviewed, but without a doubt it hits well above its weight class! This is one of the best bargains in cru Beaujolais.
WHWC notes: "Deep ruby, noticeably darker than the 2021s I've tasted recently. When first opened, the nose is dominated by black fruits (black cherry, blackberry), but with air, more red fruits (cranberry) and florals enter the mix. Quite dense and rich on the attack with an appealing sappiness. Juicy, mouthwateringly tart on the mid-palate; just the right amount of acidity, along with a soupçon of tannin, both components serving as a thirst-quenching counterweight to the fruit concentration and ripeness." -David Russell, 12/1/2022
