98 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Domaine William Fèvre’s 2012 les Clos also came from very small yields this year, as the crop was only twenty-two hectoliters per hectare, making this the smallest crop after the Valmur (with which it shared hail damage). The wine has turned out stunningly beautiful, soaring from the glass in a complex blend of green apple, orange, pear, kaleidoscopic, flinty minerality, citrus zest, white flowers and smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very, very racy, with a rock solid core, stunning backend mineral drive and a very, very long, seamless and electric finish. A stunning wine! 2022-2065. (Nov/Dec 2013)"

96 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope). There is noticeable if discreet wood on the ripe and intensely floral nose that also reflects notes of pear, mineral reduction, white peach and algae. This is an imposingly scaled wine with its broad and muscular mouth feel that exudes a seemingly endless reserve of minerality on the almost painfully intense finish that delivers flat out amazing length. This is a very powerful wine that is akin to sucking on rocks it is so mineral-inflected. This too is positively brilliant. Drink: 2024+. (Oct 2014)"

94-96 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "A wine of contrasts, the 2012 Chablis Les Clos captures the essence of what makes Clos so compelling at this level. At once massively structured yet also ethereal and elusive, the 2012 Clos is a wine that demands the taster's full attention. The huge, explosive finish is absolutely captivating. Readers will have to give the 2012 time to emerge from its shell, but when it does, it should be spectacular. The 2012 has all the elements to develop into a superb wine, and perhaps something more than that. Drink: 2017+. (Aug 2013)"

95+ points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(production of just 32 hectoliters per hectare in 2012): Pale yellow. Powerful aromas of lime, quinine, crushed rock and iodine. Silky on entry, then dense and penetrating in the middle, displaying terrific limey lift and saline thrust to the flavors of citrus peel, crushed rock, elderflower and white pepper. Most promising today on the echoing, building, palate-staining finish, with strong acidity (more than 4.5 grams per liter, according to Seguier) drawing out the wine's fruit. A knockout--and still an infant. (Jul/Aug 2014)"

95 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos isprincipally situated on the upper parts of the slope with more limestone soil and where half the vines were originally planted by William Fevre’s father during the 1940s. Allowing the glass five minutes to really open, the Les Clos has a very well-defined, mineral-driven bouquet with light granitic scents coming through with continued aeration. It shares the salinity of the Les Preuses, but with perhaps a little more richness and natural harmony toward the finish that just glides across the mouth. Superb. Drink 2017-2035. (Aug 2014)"
