95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Vaulorent is graceful and serene, seemingly literally enveloped by the silkiness of its fruit. (2024)"
94+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Vaulorent from Didier Séguier is equally fine. The nose is beautifully expressive, wafting from the glass in a blaze of pear, fresh lime, tart orange, a refined base of chalky minerality, anise, beeswax, straw and a topnote of lemon peel. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and shows off superb depth in the core, with fine soil signature and grip, vibrant acids and a long, focused and beautifully balanced finish. This could probably be drunk with great pleasure with only a couple of years’ worth of bottle age, but I would try to leave it alone in the cellar for at least three or four years and let it blossom completely. 2027-2060. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "William Fèvre is the largest owner of this Kimmeridgian-rich vineyard with 3 ha 60. This opens with an attractive chalk and spice nose. It leads to a ripe citrus palate focused by bracing acidity. There is excellent fruit depth and integration. Yet again, Vaulorent behaves like a Grand Premier Cru! (2023)
93 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a huge 3.63 ha parcel out of only 17 ha and most of it is hard by Les Preuses. Séguier calls this their "baby grand cru" as specific barrels are selected for vine age, concentration and power). A much less expressive nose, indeed it is all but mute, requires aggressive swirling to eventually coax aromas of white orchard fruit, especially pear confit, citrus blossom and seawater. The richer and slightly more powerful flavors also possess a sophisticated mouthfeel along with excellent depth and persistence on the balanced finale where a touch of youthful austerity slowly emerges. This too is excellent though at this early stage, just like in 2022, I have a slightly preference for the Montée de Tonnerre. Drink: 2031+. (Oct 2023)"
93 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale in colour, starting out rather lean, but recognisably Chablis with some grassy aspects. Refreshing in its cleanliness, typicity, purity and length. Stays with me in clean white fruit. The Fèvre Vaulorent has avoided all the pitfalls of the vintage to provide an impressive example of what the most skilful producers could achieve in 2021. (May 2025)"
