93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Lime tint to the colour. One third has been made in barrel, which does not show. A light spice, a real depth of fruit, starting to bring out a depth of ripe yellow fruit with an excellent spicy touch, intense, opulent, balanced and persistent. (Jun 2021)"

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Facing southwest and sitting in clay-limestone soils, these vines were planted between 1950 and 1973. They deliver a sappy yet focused wine with generous apple and melon flavors laced with fluffy leesiness and the marine-like lift of crushed seashells. This saw 15% new oak (30% total), and every bit of it is handsomely integrated. 2023-34. (2022)"

94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru sees 18 months in stainless steel and barel. It has a clean and precise, almost clinical bouquet with subtle granitic scents emerging with time. Vibrant and energetic. The palate is well balanced witha fine bead of acidity, very harmonious with hints of white peach, Nashi pear and a liberal sprinkling of white pepper on the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis. (Sep 2022)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 2.3 ha holding). Here the wood treatment is slightly more evident though it still remains a background element on the nose of essence of pear, iodine and pretty citrus wisps. There is first-rate density to the powerful yet refined, even sophisticated, middleweight plus flavors that brim with both dry extract and minerality on the compact, bone-dry and sneaky long finish. This is also built-to-age and a wine that should reward a decade plus. Drink: 2030+. (Oct 2022)"

Note: Sometimes a producer will bottle its wine(s) under a variety of labels for different markets and/or importers. When offering these wines to us, the California importer said they were exactly the same wines as those bottled under the name of emerging superstar Chablis vignerons Nathalie and Gilles Fèvre, explaining that the duo offered them a choice of alternate labels, and the one you see here, Marcel et, was ultimately chosen. Naturally, I was skeptical and emailed the winery to ask if the Fèvre-Fève-labeled wines were really the same as those sold as Nathalie et Gilles. Their response to me: "Oui, il s’agit des mêmes vins, seule l’étiquette est différente," which translates as, "Yes, it's the same wine, only the label is different." —David Russell, Senior Buyer: France
