Certified organic (Ecogruppo Italia). Deep, impenetrable crimson. Impressive depth of lifted cherry and damson fruit, with a complex note of savoury oak and a hint of eucalyptus and white pepper. Sappy, lush, sour cherry and damson on the palate, with a bite of gritty tannins and surprisingly high acidity on the finish. The 15% alcohol is well integrated. A couple of years more in the bottle would not go amiss, as this has the stuffing as well as the tannic structure. Drink 2024-2032 (Aug 2023)"
