97 points James Suckling: "Complex and aromatic with flowers, strawberries, salt and perfume. Medium-bodied with very fine velvety tannins that give great length and presence. Very long and intense. Old vines planted in 1992. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Impressive to drink now but will age so beautifully. Screw cap. (10/23/23)"

96 points Rebecca Gibb, MW (Vinous): "The 2022 Pinot Noir Block 3 is unadulterated and broad sexiness. It seduces you with its rich, expansive mouthfeel, untamed flavors and succulent texture, leading to a long finish. It is a wine that feels very hands-off, allowing the fruit to shine and those abundant tannins to ooze and coat the entire mouth with melted chocolate. I kept coming back to this wine over three days, and it never failed to impress. One for the shopping list. Drink: 2024-2038. (May 2024)"

95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Shy on the nose; peppery pomegranate and wild raspberry fruit with some sappy fresh green herbs. A fine boned wine, looks a little austere with chalky tannins layered across the palate. With time in the glass it opens up but this is a taut, structured pinot. (Dec 2023)"

94 points Erin Larkin (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Block 3 Pinot Noir is muscular and savory on the nose, with sumac spice, kirsch, pepper berries, a hint of Szechuan peppercorn and caper berries. In the mouth, the wine flows effortlessly. The tannins are pronounced and firm, but they move in line with the fruit and bear no obstruction, spooling as they do through the long finish. The freshness of acidity through the middle to back palate is of particular attraction; it feels juicy and saturating rather than awkward or tangy. It's a powerful wine. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Drink: 2023-2036. (12/14/23)"
