96 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "Gorgeous and soft, the 2013 Fontalloro is another landmark wine from this classic vintage. There is enormous intensity here and the wine is only at the beginning of its long aging trajectory. I suggest you put off drinking it for five to ten more years. There is evident thickness and generosity here, especially in the way those bold fruit favors are woven between dark spice and leather. There are sour accents on the close that remind you of the wine's youth. The tannins are fine and well integrated. Drink 2018-2035." (Dec 2016)

95 points James Suckling: "Aromas of plums, clay tiles and sage follow through to a full to medium body, silky tannins and a linear and racy finish. Love the underlying freshness and brightness to this. Excellent. A little tannic now, so better in 2018." (7/20/16)

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "[$70 list] The 2013 Fontalloro shows the richer, creamier style of the vintage while maintaining plenty of Fèlsina character. Silky tannins wrap around a core of dark stone fruits as the 2013 shows off its personality. Fontalloro naturally doesn’t have the pure energy of Rancia, but it will drink well with just a few more years in bottle. Fontalloro is the most overt and ripe of the Fèlsina wines with the exception of the Colonia. A hint of French oak shapes the supple, inviting finish. Drink 2019-2033." (Oct 2016)

94 points and 'Year's Best Tuscan Reds,' Wine & Spirits: "Fruit from some of Fèlsina’s highest-elevation vineyards in Chianti Classico is blended with the produce of lower-lying vines in Chianti Colli Senesi for this blockbuster sangiovese. Ample, fine-grained tannins frame its ripe red-cherry flavors, notes of dried oregano and green olives swirling through the wine to give it a distinct Tuscan edge. Hints of sandalwood spice and oak char emerge on the finish, suggesting the wine will benefit from several years in the cellar. (Apr 2018)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "Cherry, plum, tobacco and tar flavors are shaded by vanilla and coconut notes in this youthful red, which turns more austere on the finish but resonates with persistence and equilibrium. Sangiovese. Best from 2018 through 2026." (3/31/17)
