There is mainly dark berry fruit here with touches of juniper and damp, loamy soil, gradually opening in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and certainly well-balanced, with crisp tannins and a citric underbelly. The almost briny finish has a real "bite"; I suspect this will age very well in the bottle.
