92-94 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A deft but not invisible application of wood sets of the slightly riper aromas of plum and black cherry liqueur that are cut with plenty of spice, floral, earth and a sandalwood wisps. There is a highly seductive and plush mouthfeel to the bigger-bodied flavors where the texture of the mid-palate contrasts with the serious, compact and equally built-to-age finale that is already impressively complex. This is potential outstanding. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"
92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Gilbert feels that 2023 is his best result here since they started in 2018, the vines did not suffer stress, 40 hl/ha, and lower degrees. 40% whole bunches. Fifty five year old vines. Fine bright purple. There is both a density and suavity to the deep red fruit, excellent energy, a fair lick of new oak, then a wealth of red fruit which returns across the refined tannins at the finish. Excellent. Drink from 2032-2038. Tasted Dec 2024."
91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Corton Les Grands Lolières Grand Cru matured with 40% whole bunch like the Echézeaux. Cropped at around 40hl/ha, this has an expressive bouquet with black cherry, cranberry and sous-bois scents. It becomes more floral as it opens in the glass. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied, quite sweet yet controlled and fresh, with crunchy red fruit and sorbet notes and an almost citric finish. This is very lively. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2025)"
