90-91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of cherries, raspberries and smoked tea introduce the 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy wine with good depth and sweet structuring tannins. (1/30/25)"
89-91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 20 different parcels). The ripe essence of black cherry, anise and violet introduce even finer, though not denser, medium-bodied flavors that flash evident minerality on the balanced, focused and precise finale. This too should drink well young but repay mid-term keeping. Drink: 2029+. (Jan 2025)"
89-91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is a blend of around 20 tiny lieux-dits scattered over the appellation. This has a winsome bouquet with pure black cherries and crushed strawberry fruit aromas. Hints of violet develop in the glass. The palate is quite sweet on the entry and slightly lactic in style, yet the acidity gives this cuvée the bite that it needs. There is a pleasant dab of licorice on the finish. Very fine. Drink: 2028-2042. (Jan 2025)"
