90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes comes from 50-year old vines from a number of small parcels. It has plenty of cranberry and wild strawberry fruit on the nose, very vivacious with a touch of crushed stone underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins, fine grip and volume with Morey-like structure on the finish. Very fine. Drink: 2026-2048. (Dec 2021)"
90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "50% whole bunch vinification. Deep rich purple. An immediately blossoming nose, enlivened by the whole bunch. This is power packed and there is a sweetness of ripe fruit and oak which in fact balances very well. Structured but sensual with a crunchy finish. (Dec 2021)"
'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 20 different parcels). Firm reduction dominates the nose today. More interesting are the rich, concentrated and succulent medium-bodied flavors that are at once suave but robust on the solidly long and complex finale. This is an atypical Chambolle villages but impressive all the same. Drink: 2028+. (Jan 2022)"
