90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "From a sunny parcel that hugs the south side of the village, and that was formerly included in Felettig's old-vine blend, the 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Derrière le Four offers up pretty aromas of cherries, berries, incense and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, with succulent acids and an enveloping core of fruit, it will offer a broad drinking window. (1/30/25)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Derrière Le Four comes from a parcel just behind Felettig's maison that was partially replanted. Its separate bottling came about due to the large volume. This sees 40% new oak (two out of five barrels). The bouquet is quite complex and well defined, with its 20% whole bunch lending a discrete peppery note. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent black cherry fruit and light blueberry notes, but it has a surprising grip and structure on the finish to suggest it will give 15 to 20 years of drinking pleasure. This marks a fine debut. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2025)"

89-91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A more floral-suffused nose features notes of violet, rose petal, anise and the essence of ripe red and dark cherry. Once again the middle weight flavors possess a beguiling texture that is suave and generous while exuding a subtle minerality on the long and balanced finale. This lovely effort is less refined than the old vines Chambolle cuvée but more complex as well as slightly firmer. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2025)"
