90-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(<25% whole clusters). This is aromatically quite similar to the Chambolle "1er" but with slightly less wood in evidence. There is better mid-palate density to the punchy and solidly powerful middleweight flavors that also conclude in a decidedly firm, compact and built-to-finish. This is really quite good, but it too is going to need extended forbearance before it will be ready for prime-time drinking. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2023)"
90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Lavrottes exhibits aromas of sweet plums, dark berries, rose petals and baking chocolate, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and seamless palate that's bright and precise, with powdery strutting tannins. (Jan 2023)"
