94 points Falstaff: "Dark ruby, purple reflections, delicate ochre rim. Attractive black berryish fruit, a breath of liquorice, softly of heart cherries, nuances of bergamot. Juicy, good complexity, fine blackberryish fruit, well integrated, supporting tannins, fresh finish, has good length, fruit expression in the oftaste, fine salty aspects and safe development certain ageing potential. 92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Exhibiting aromas of cherries, raspberries, spices, rose petals and bergamot, with little hint of the tertiary complexity to come, the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées is medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, with a deep and concentrated core of fruit that's framed by fine-grained but youthfully chalky tannins, concluding with a precise, energetic finish. The fruit on the nose is also of a darker, riper style, but note that this cuvée was late to do its malolactic which has an impact. It has had a little bit of the heart removed., with some brown sugar notes, followed by firm acidity and some tannins. Tasted: November 2019."
