Producer notes: "This wine is full of energy and medium-bodied, with a deep concentration of dark cherry flavours and well-balanced tannins. It comes from three outstanding locations. This blend consists of around 15-20 barrels (depending on the vintage) sourced from vineyards below Chambolle, including Les Bons Bâtons. About 20% of the grapes were fermented with the stems."
Not yet reviewed; 2023 vintage rated 88-90 points by Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "20% whole bunch vinification. From plenty of small plots in Gilly and below Chambolle, from 50 year old vines on average with a yield under 50 hl/ha. Mid crimson purple. Quite a weight of fresh raspberry fruit. Properly juicy on the palate and stretches out into a fine long finish. Baby Chambolle in style? Very good. Drink from 2026-2028. Tasted Dec 2024."
