94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 11 19. The 2018er Niedermennig Herrenberg Spätlese Feinherb AP 11 (known internally as 'Meyer Nepal') comes from the upper part of the vineyard, and was fermented down to approx. 27-28 g/l of residual sugar. It offers a refreshing and pure nose of lime, green apple, gooseberry, mint, herbs and a hint of paprika. The wine coats the palate with some rich and ripe fruits, yet proves superbly focused, pure and zesty on the almost dry-tasting finish. 2023-2038. (Jun 2018)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The nickname for this parcel is “Meyer Nepal”, which had something to do with the steepness of the slope here and a gentleman named Meyer, but I cannot recall the exact story (and further evidence why we need those back labels!). The 2018 “Meyer Nepal” version of Herrenberg Spätlese Feinherb comes in around eight percent octane and carries seamlessly about thirty grams per liter of residual sugar, which buffers its excellent acids and vein of minerality most admirably. The bouquet is an outstanding blend of tangerine, lime, complex slate tones, a touch of wild yeasts and a topnote of orange peel. On the palate the wine is pure, fullish and beautifully balanced, with a good core, racy acids, excellent focus and depth and a long, pure and complex finish that ends with plenty of lift and grip. 2019-2050. (Mar/Apr 2019)"

93 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "This issues from the same parcel (nickname: Meyer Nepal) of old, relatively high-altitude vines in quartz-rich slate as did Hofgut Falkenstein’s A.P. #11 of 2016 and 2017 (though the latter was bottled as Kabinett feinherb). The nose offers not only coolingly mint-laced apple and lime but also a suggestion of urchin roe. Bright, luscious juiciness well supported by subtle sweetness, and intriguing animal and mineral notes follow on a polished palate. The vibrant finish is infectiously juicy, electrically tingling, bell-clear and focused, with subtle marine salinity as well as a persistence of that umami-rich impression of urchin serving to stimulate the salivary glands. Drink: 2020-2034. (Jul 2020)"
