96 points Tim Atkin, MW: "The best of the Nuits-St-Georges reds chez Faiveley (as it generally is at most domaines in the village), this comes from a surprisingly small holding of only 0.23 hectares in the lower part of the Premier Cru. Spicy, complex and very delicate for a Nuits Premier Cru, it’s concentrated, focused and sensitively oaked with bramble and raspberry fruit sweetness to balance the tannins. 2022-30. (Jan 2017)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "[$190 list] Rich and grainy, with a moderate burr to the tannins, which support violet, cherry, black currant, smoke and iron notes, this is dense and very fresh, yet slightly austere on the finish today. The reticence is a good sign for its future development. Best from 2021 through 2038. 25 cases imported. (12/31/17)"

92-94 points and 'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is more aromatically elegant with its spicy aromas of plum, rose petal, herbal tea, red cherry and earth. The tautly muscular, dense and mineral-driven flavors possess excellent size, weight and power while delivering strikingly good length on the beautifully balanced if very firm finish. Again, patience, and plenty of it, will be necessary. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2017)"
