96 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Faiveley's 2014 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very perfumed bouquet with pure dark plum, bergamot and pressed rose petal aromas that filter from the glass. Wonderful. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, tensile from the start with hints of bay leaf and spice toward the structured and persistent finish. This is a very strong showing from Faiveley, a really marvelous Mazis-Chambertin for the long-haul. Tasted September 2017. Drink: 2020-2050. (Oct 2017)"

93-96 points and 'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from both Mazis Haut and Bas where the two parcels total a remarkable 1.20 ha). A more expressive if less elegant nose features much more sauvage character on the dark berry fruit, humus, underbrush and smoked meat scents. The rich, full-bodied and distinctly powerful broad-shouldered flavors possess evident muscularity along with ample minerality that really comes to the fore on the gorgeously complex, intense and explosively persistent finale. This is a very serious wine and a classic Mazis and I emphatically underscore that this is going to need a very long time in a cool cellar to arrive at its peak. Drink: 2034+." (Jan 2016)

95 points Wine Spectator: "[$353 list] Brilliant aromas and flavors of cherry, strawberry, currant and mineral highlight this complex red, which is intense and elegant, building to a kaleidoscopic finish. Structured and harmonious, with terrific aging potential. Best from 2020 through 2039. 50 cases imported. (4/30/17)"

92-95 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Healthy deep red. More earthbound on the nose than the Latricières, offering aromas of black raspberry and dark chocolate plus a hint of game. Wonderfully silky and energetic but dry and unforthcoming in the early going; more gamey than the Latricières. This powerful, saline wine boasts captivating sweetness and finishes very long, with silky, noble, seamless tannins coating the front teeth. At once less floral and deeper than usual for this cuvée. Outstanding potential here." (Jan 2016)
