91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is even more elegant than the Mazis with its explosive, very dense red and black cherry fruit and exquisitely elegant, remarkably complex and powerful, mineral-infused flavors and a finish that seems to go on forever. This is not a huge wine but one that is impressively harmonious as everything is in perfect balance. A precise and driving finish adds an exclamation point to what is already a very classy wine. Drink: 2012-20. (Jan 2004)"

90-93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Good deep red. Pure but subdued aromas of raspberry, minerals and licorice; less obviously ripe than the Mazis. Tightly wound and penetrating, with red fruit and licorice flavors firmed by brisk acidity. In a distinctly harder, more minerally style than the Mazis, more dominated by its structure and much less accessible today. This will need a good seven or eight years of cellaring. (Mar/Apr 2004)"
