97 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$495 list] Spearmint and vanilla accents frame the cherry, blackberry, plum and stony mineral flavors in this dense, monolithic red. It's all pulled together by vibrant acidity, while beefy tannins ply the fresh, mouthwatering finish. Though this is disjointed now, the long aftertaste shows both its pedigree and potential. Best from 2028 through 2049. 17 cases imported. (9/4/24)"

96-97 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Deep nose of sour cherries with so many delicate spicy and earthy nuances. Ripe and expansive, but so bright and precise. Great energy at the driving finish. From a plot right next to Musigny. (8/8/23)"

93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "30% whole bunch vinification. The colour is more purple than crimson. The bouquet is extremely elegant and shows some concentration. A slightly firm finish at the moment but the elevage is not finished yet, and this should be resolved with extra time. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023.."

93-96 points Fine Wine Review: "Although En Orveaux has historically not been regarded as one of the top Echézeaux lieux-dits, through the years Faiveley has managed to make good wines from it. And more recently, global warming has helped wines from this portion of Echézeaux. The wine has plenty of finesse, almost laciness, with dark fruits and a silky/cashmere texture to go with density and minerality. (8/24/23)"

93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of dark berries, incense, exotic spices, peonies and orange zest introduce the 2022 Echézeaux En Orveaux Grand Cru, a full-bodied, broad and enveloping wine that's ample and seamless, with a rich core of fruit that largely conceals its suave structuring tannins, animated by lively acids and concluding with a saline finish. (1/18/24)"

92-95 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An exuberantly spicy nose features notes of clove, anise, sandalwood and jasmine tea on the nose of mostly black cherry, all of which is framed in moderately generous wood. There is outstandingly intensity to the utterly delicious flavors that culminate in a strikingly persistent and balanced finish where a touch of wood eventually reappears. This could use better depth but a few years of keeping should prove helpful. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Beautifully perfumed, the nose leads with cherry cola, lavender and red fruits. The silky mid-palate texture is hemmed in by somewhat stringy tannins and lilting freshness, and this finishes long and texturally balanced. It is rare to see the climat indicated on the label of an Echézeaux, but I think it gives gravitas to a Grand Cru that is often dismissed as 'too large'. (2024)"
