98-99 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Such a salty wine with intense preserved lemon, flint and chalk dust character. Awe-inspiring power and concentration, yet so bright and vivid, the sweetness of the fruit precisely balanced by the stunning mineral acidity. (8/8/23)"

97 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This nose is captivating here with hay, yellow plum, pear and dried flowers. The attack is generous and silky, but then a firm minerality takes hold and gives the wine a crunchy texture. Dry, long and complex on the finish, this is beguiling. Erwan Faiveley says this always has "a bit more soul and is more precise" than their Puligny Grand Crus. This is riveting Corton-Charlemagne. (2024)"

95-99 points Fine Wine Review: "This is not the definitive Corton-Charlemagne — it is from a plot purchased in 1872 containing the oldest vines in the plot and some others. The nose is complex, stony, and spicy. The mouth is flabergasting: intense, deep, and energetic with layered lime flavors. (97-99) Another barrel is from a plot of 1/3 ha. that had been planted in Pinot Noir and used for the Clos des Cortons. The plot was replanted in 2014, so these are still young vines. This wine probably will go into the final Corton-Charlemagne, but no definitive decision had been made when I tasted. The wine is intense, fresh, penetrating, lemony, and pure. (95-97) (8/23/23)"

94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid primrose yellow. The bouquet is high quality here in a year when I have not quite understood all the Corton-Charlemagne’s. This marries very well weight and ripeness on the one hand with the intense minerality of the appellation. This will be a striking example when it matures. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023."

94-96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is brilliant, unfurling in the glass with aromas of citrus zest, white peach, white flowers, fresh mint and wet stones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and dense, tightly wound palate that's satiny but chiseled, with chalky structuring extract and a long, mineral finish. (1/18/24)"
