Producer notes: "Our Charmes-Chambertin vines thrive on brown soils, rich in clay (around 40%), mixed with deposits of lava and iron ore. This unique composition gives the wine spicy aromas of red fruits and a distinctive opulence. The stony soil provides the balance and aromatic finesse necessary for a wine for laying down. Strategically positioned on the other side of the road from Chambertin, our plots, totaling 0.81 ha, contribute to the development of this exceptional Grand Cru. Tasting Notes: On the nose, its bouquet is generous: small red fruits, spices and floral nuances. It is an opulent and elegant wine with silky tannins. Its sweetness is palpable on the palate, it is even sweeter than the Gevrey. It deserves a few years to fully appreciate its potential."
