91-94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(on the opposite side of the village from the Combe d'Orveau): Deep red-ruby. The nose shows a chocolatey ripeness and strong emerging minerality to the aromas of black raspberry, wild herbs, soil tones and black licorice. Wonderfully smooth and sweet but with serious energy and saline minerality. Conveys strong terroir character. Finishes rich and long, with chewy but well-integrated tannins. (Jan 2016)"
91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Here there are no such reductive aromas on the expressive nose that exhibits aromas of various dark berries, black cherry, spice and violet scents. Once again there is excellent definition to the intense and stony medium-bodied flavors that are tautly muscular yet refined, all wrapped in a saline and palate etching finish that displays a touch of youthful austerity. This is good stuff too and very Chambollesque. Drink: 2026+. (Jan 2016)"
