94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "A wine that sees 100% new oak, and sis uffering from it slightly at the moment, but this sweet, dense Chambolle from high on the slope close to Bonnes-Mares has enough fruit to cope. The wood tannins need time to soften and melt into the wine to allow the elegance to emerge. 2018-25. (2016)"

91-94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(on the opposite side of the village from the Combe d'Orveau): Deep red-ruby. The nose shows a chocolatey ripeness and strong emerging minerality to the aromas of black raspberry, wild herbs, soil tones and black licorice. Wonderfully smooth and sweet but with serious energy and saline minerality. Conveys strong terroir character. Finishes rich and long, with chewy but well-integrated tannins. (Jan 2016)"

91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Here there are no such reductive aromas on the expressive nose that exhibits aromas of various dark berries, black cherry, spice and violet scents. Once again there is excellent definition to the intense and stony medium-bodied flavors that are tautly muscular yet refined, all wrapped in a saline and palate etching finish that displays a touch of youthful austerity. This is good stuff too and very Chambollesque. Drink: 2026+. (Jan 2016)"
