95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Deep, cool and delicately earthy, this is a very concentrated dry riesling for the 2020 vintage, and is a very classic example of the central section of the region. At once creamy and highly structured, it has fantastic balance on the medium-to full-bodied palate. Vegan. Drink or hold. (9/20/21)"

94 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Rheingau Riesling Trocken Mélange blends the fruit from the Eltviller Langenstück and Kalbspflicht and opens with intense, perfectly ripe and juicy fruit aromas intertwined with delicate slate and lemon aromas. Silky, lush and persistently salty on the palate, this is a full-bodied, lush and intense, very complex and sustainably structured Riesling with persistent salinity and mineral length. This is a great wine to be served from a big glass when young. Aeration will help to dive deeper into the layered dimensions of the 2020 Mélange. 13% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted from AP 9 21 in November 2021. (12/9/21)"

93 points Ines Salpico (Decanter): "A blend from old vines grown around Eltville. A rich, muscular Riesling with a crystalline, mineral finish. There’s an incredible inner tension, with the opulence of fruit perfectly balanced by razor-sharp focus. Pear, peach and lemon, with a nutty lining of fresh almonds. Drinking Window: 2022-2030. (3/18/22)"

92 points Ulrich Sautter (Falstaff): "Grapes from Eltville and Hattenheim. Some raisins and baked apple on the nose, with almost red berry aromas. An overtone of smoky, stony notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with some volume, on a soft, supple base and with ripe acidity, chewy texture. Tactile minerality makes the palate light-weight despite the comparatively high alcohol. Alcohol 13%. (11/15/21)"
