94 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Very subtle nose of lemon balm, white peach and Amalfi lemon. Super-focused palate that’s simultaneously sleek and texturally complex. At the finish, it’s very compact and finely etched, with a ton of wet-stone minerality. Excellent aging potential. Mainly from young vines in the Krone site, including Mosel riesling clones, plus some wine from old vines. Drink or hold. (9/19/22)"

93 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Lorch is a pure Riesling from blue slate with concentrated lemon fruit aromas intermingled with notes of green olives. It is still discreet but with the austerity of the Lorch slate terroir. On the palate, this is a round and lush but crystalline, refined and elegant, persistently salty and sustainable Riesling with remarkable complexity. This is a fabulous, gorgeous and sustainable Riesling that could easily be aged for two decades if it just wasn't so good at this early stage. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in November 2022. (12/30/22)"
