95 points Ines Salpico (Decanter): "From the old, and much prized, Schlossberg parcel in Lorch planted in the 1950s. The quartzite soils might explain the transparent salinity of this wine, reminiscent of oyster shells and seawater. A perfect example of the golden trio of acidity, minerality, and sugar, honed to perfect balance. The 23 g/l residual sugar is barely perceptible, rather giving poise to the firm backbone. Drinking Window: 2022-2042. (3/18/22)"
94+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Lorcher Schlossberg Riesling offers a deep, intense and ripe yet elegant, pure and finely slatey as well as iodine bouquet of crushed stones and stewed yellow fruits. On the palate, this is a crystalline, refined and elegant yet tensioned and persistently salty Riesling from the Schlossberg. It needs some years to fully integrate the residual sugar of 23 grams per liter. The wine has fine tannin structure and good, tensioned length. 11.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted from AP 8 21 in November 2021. (12/30/22)"
